The Secret Infinity Pool

What's better than a visit to the tourist-crowded 'figure-8 pools', only accessible at the right tide? A day spent at your OWN natural infinity pools, located amidst lush wilderness, of course!

The best part? No crowds!!

After being picked up from your hotel, you will be whisked away to the raw wilderness just outside of Sydney, and within an hour we will be getting up close to the native animals of Australia.

Walkabout Park is a place where you can immerse yourself in the animals' world. Over 180 species of mammals, birds, reptiles and frogs call this reserve home. It's also where you get to spend time with koalas, kangaroos and emus in their natural setting. As Steve Erwin would say - "You little ripper, mate!!"

Next, we catch a short ’local’ boat-taxi ride across the beautiful Hawkesbury River. Look out for giant sea eagles or check out the amazing homes that dot the secluded coastline.

A short hike* up a gorgeous escarpment and you’ll feel like you’re on top of the world. Incredible views across the Hawkesbury Estuary lie beneath us. It’s hard to believe we’re just a little over an hour away from the biggest city in Australia out here…

We’ll visit the natural infinity pools and look for ancient aboriginal carvings around the pools.

A short stroll later we’ll come to mirror-like reflective pools. If it’s the right time of year, it’s perfect for a swim. Come to think of it, it’s perfect for a swim even if it isn’t the right time of year.

Just around the corner is the jewel in the crown - an incredible natural swimming hole with a waterfall plunging into its deep turquoise waters. Stand under the waterfall 'massage' for a few minutes and you’ll be pummeled into a new person!

It’s an easy walk back down to our water taxi, where we will be whisked back to ‘civilisation’ to the quaint Brooklyn fishing village for fish and chips.

You may have seen the breathtaking scenery of the film "Oyster Farmer" set on the Hawkesbury River, and that’s our last detour for the day! This local oyster farm supplies produce straight from the source. Sit back and watch the sun setting over the waterways, sipping complimentary wine and sampling oysters and prawns.

Then it’s back to the big city, stopping to see a few more Aboriginal carvings.
