THIS is what life in Australia is all about!
Come and experience some of Sydney’s finest local produce, stroll along one of Australia’s famous scenic coastlines, and get up close to its iconic animals, all in one day.
We’ll pick you up at your hotel in the city of Sydney. A short 45-minute drive and you’re already in the surprisingly wild countryside on the edge of Sydney, driving through scenic valleys and national parks.
First stop: Get up close and personal with koalas, kangaroos and emus in their natural setting. This wildlife park successfully mimics the natural environment of these fascinating creatures, making this experience feel far less like a zoo and more like ‘a walk on the wild side’.
We’re on our way to the coast now, time for a quick stop at a boutique distillery where an array of award-winning spirits and liqueurs are produced. Many of the ingredients are sourced from the flowers, fruits and herbs plucked straight from the distillery's amazing "fragrant garden".
Next, experience the beautiful Avoca Headland on the Central Coast. This is surfers paradise - not like that other one in Queensland! ;) The perfect place for coffee at a beachside cafe. Or maybe a walk along the pristine beaches and headlands (for the more adventurous). Chat with local surfers and fishermen, or have a look for fish in crystal clear sea pools.
Lunch is at a stunning waterfront restaurant overlooking the beautiful mangroves of Woy Woy, a beautiful little fishing village. It’s at this iconic landmark where we dine on award-winning local seafood.
The Central Coast's premier seafood market is right next to the fancy restaurant we’ve eaten in. Here’s where you can browse the local sustainably-sourced, catches-of-the-day…
It’s 3:00pm, so it’s pelican feeding time! Watch as these giant birds flock over to eat their lunch. Perfect for those holiday Instagram shots.
You may have seen the breathtaking scenery of the film "Oyster Farmer" set on the Hawkesbury River, and that’s our last food detour for the day! This local oyster farm supplies produce straight from the source. Sit back and watch the sun setting over the waterways, sipping complimentary wine and sampling oysters and prawns.
Then it’s back to the big city, stopping to see ancient Aboriginal carvings, known only to a few of us locals. ;)
